CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (January 2008) - In January, Navigant Capital Advisors (NCA) and two of its senior leaders were recognized at the annual Distressed Investing Conference. NCA was ranked as #3 among Top Investment Banks (based upon the number of active bankruptcy related assignments). In addition, Ed Casas, Managing Director and Head of NCA Investment Banking and Restructuring, and Neil Luria, Managing Director, were named as the top one and two investment bankers in the distressed market sector. Approximately 500 corporate restructuring professionals and corporate and financial dealmakers attended the Distressed Investing Conference, which is a partnership between The Deal, a business and financial news company, and the Turnaround Management Association, the only international non-profit association dedicated to corporate renewal and turnaround management.
To develop the rankings, The Deal validates and gathers key bankruptcy information from law firms, restructuring firms, lenders, and other organizations into a proprietary database. The Deal’s "Bankruptcy League Tables" are then developed based on all debtor, creditor and other assignments within active bankruptcy cases.
